Seamstress project by the People Against Poverty

Updated: Apr 25

This project was launched in December 2020 during Covid to train orphaned young adults, who have progressed through our child sponsorship programme to learn a skill in tailoring.

To date we have provided the six-monthly course to over 22 young adults, all of whom have had the opportunity to change their lives.   By learning this new skill, they are venturing into their own communities and making clothing which villagers are able to purchase thereby giving the tailor an income to provide for their own families.

We are looking for investors, sponsors and donations to help this project gain momentum and work towards training up to 20 young adults each year.  The difference that this will make to an individual who was orphaned at such a young age and therefore unable to continue their education, will be a life changing one.
