School retention & reinforcement
We work with schools, caregivers, school management committees, and community child protection structures to reduce dropout rates, especially among girls. Through in-school youth clubs and mother group committees, learners are encouraged to stay in school, report abuse, and pursue their dreams. The club encourages peer-to-peer counselling and conducts various extracurricular activities such as games and arts

Education is a powerful tool to break the cycle of poverty, especially for vulnerable children and young people in Northern Malawi. Our education programme focuses on increasing school retention, reducing school-related gender-based violence, and supporting orphans and vulnerable children (OVCs) with the resources they need to thrive and realise their academic goals.

School feeding programme

With funding from Nourishing Minds, primary school learners are now benefiting from the free school feeding programme. The intervention aims at providing meals to learners during the school days, primarily to address hunger, improve nutrition, and enhance educational outcomes. The programme is designed to improve a child's health and ability to learn by providing a source of food and addressing potential nutritional deficiencies. the programme is reaching out to 6 primary schools, namely Chisangano, Zombwe, Kayowera, Baula, Ekwaiweni and Chaleka
The project is reaching out to over 3,000 learners in 6 primary targeted schools and has constructed kitchen rooms for each of the targetd 6 primary schools respectively
