Health awareness campaigns

Knowledge is one of the most powerful tools we have for combating preventable diseases. EHAP goes beyond clinics to bring health education directly to communities, informing, empowering, and protecting people from illness. Every year, EHAP reaches thousands of people through community-led health awareness campaigns with accurate information on HIV/AIDS prevention and testing, COVID-19 awareness and vaccination, malaria prevention, cholera prevention and safe hygiene practices, and tuberculosis (TB). Cervical cancer education and screening; emerging and re-emerging diseases using a mix of approaches, including care groups, local volunteers, drama performances, and whistlestop mobile teams. These sessions are designed for rural audiences and delivered in local languages. EHAP uses demonstrations to make learning interactive and practical, such as handwashing, safe food handling, and proper mosquito net use. Many of these campaigns take place at the village level, ensuring accessibility and reducing travel burdens for residents. Our Theatre for Change teams play an important role in addressing misinformation, particularly about vaccines, health myths and early ANC attendance for pregnant women, through effective storytelling and performance.

After EHAP's visit, i finally understood that getting tested does not mean you are weak. it means you care about your life and others
