Over 30 and 20 CBCCs and care-groups supported with crop seeds to promote nutrion
Nutrition-sensitive agriculture
EHAP promotes the consumption of nutritious food by households in rural Ekwendeni through nutrition-sensitive farming. The program focuses on “glowing food,” which is rich in vitamins and minerals, to foster a healthier and more vibrant community. To combat malnutrition, particularly among children under five, EHAP provides seeds for crops such as orange-fleshed sweet potatoes, NUA 45 beans, orange maize, groundnuts, soya beans, and a variety of fruits and vegetables to Community-Based Childcare Centers (CBCC), care group volunteers, and vulnerable households. This initiative plays a crucial role in the fight against malnutrition in the community.

“When families grow what nourishes them, they grow more than food, they grow strength, health, and a better future.”
